Each December, our team at OptimERA xG looks forward to one of the most meaningful traditions of the year—the Christmas for Kids Fundraiser. Now in it’s seventh year, this community-driven effort ran from December 1st through December 26th and benefits Unalaskan’s Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence (USAFV), our local nonprofit crisis center. What began as a simple idea has grown into a powerful way for our community to come together and ensure that local children experience the warmth and magic of the holiday season.
This year, the impact was extraordinary. Through the generosity of our sponsors and community members, we raised an incredible $9,645, surpassing last year’s total and setting a new record for the fundraiser. These funds allowed USAFV to directly support families by purchasing essential items identified through individualized wish lists—including winter clothing, shoes, and toys—ensuring that children received exactly what they needed during the holidays. In addition to monetary donations, many individuals also contributed gifts, further extending the reach and care behind this effort.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors. We are deeply grateful to Alaska Airlines, Kloosterboer KDH, LFS Dutch Harbor, Ocean Peace Inc, Offshore Systems Inc, Unisea Inc, Trident Seafoods, KUCB, Impish Limpet, the Museum of the Aleutians, and Xarii NTX Designs for standing beside us. Their generosity and commitment to our community helped turn donations into meaningful, hands-on support for local families.
All funds and donated items were distributed to families within our community. These items were shared with children and families as part of a community-led effort, with care and intention behind every box, coat, and gift. Each contribution reflected the generosity of local businesses and neighbors working together to support families during the holiday season.
At OptimERA xG, giving back is part of who we are. We believe in supporting the people and places that make this region home, and Christmas for Kids is one of the ways we put that belief into action. We are especially thankful for the work of USAFV, whose dedication to supporting individuals and families in crisis makes a profound difference year-round. Their compassion, advocacy, and care are the backbone of this effort.
This fundraiser is a collective achievement, built on generosity, partnership, and heart. To every sponsor, donor, and community member who participated—thank you. Together, we helped make the holidays brighter for local children and families, and we are honored to continue this tradition of care.
